Kimana Flap Hinges for Cabinets and Furniture
Kimana Flap Hinges for Cabinets and Furniture
Kimana is a compact flap hinge for upward- and downward-opening doors on cabinets and furniture. The hinge is recessed into the door and cabinet and requires very little space in the construction.
Distinctive opening movement
Kimana’s opening movement allows the door to move close to an adjacent panel. This is useful when the cabinet base rests directly on another panel or when the top of the cabinet is finished with a decorative or lighting panel.
The construction allows a small gap between the door and the adjacent panel. The door can be adjusted after installation to achieve even alignment with the cabinet.
Supplied as a complete kit
Kimana is supplied as a complete kit containing the door component, cabinet component and cover plate. The range includes different finishes to coordinate the hinge with the furniture.
For certain combinations of door and cabinet thickness, a separate adapter may be required to achieve the correct position and opening movement.
Installation and use
Kimana is installed in a Ø26 mm bore in both the door and cabinet. The screws are fixed straight from the front, after which the door can be adjusted sideways, vertically and in depth.
Kimana acts as a hinge and guides the movement of the door. If the door also requires support, damping or assistance during opening, a separate flap stay may be required.
